Support Our School
There are many ways to become involved and give to Coastal Kids, ranging from financial gifts to gifts of time and talent.  Explore our volunteer and donation programs below. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and donations are tax deductible to the extent of the law.

Our Board of Directors and Parent Group sponsor a variety of fundraising events.  Funds raised support our tuition assistance program as well as general operating expenses.  Each year, our Board of Directors sponsor a  Murder Mystery Dinner  which is our major fundraiser of the year.

2011 Murder Mystery Dinner,  “Homicidal Hoedown” Sept 30 was a huge success!  Proceeds were 0ver $4,000!

  Past fundraisers  conducted by our Parent Group include fall flower bulb sales, Roundtop Ice Cream sales, cookie dough sales and our annual spaghetti dinner and raffle.  It was through the tireless efforts of the Parent Group that we were able to purchase our state of the art accessible playground equipment!  

 This year the Parent Group is sponsoring 2 fall fundraisers to help purchase funiture and supplies for our new school!

Flower Power fundraiser-    A program created by Dutch Gardens and Gardener’s Supply, two premium employee-owned gardening companies located in Vermont.   Flower Power offers only the best quality bulbs and plants from growers in Holland and the U.S, and all are 100% guaranteed.

In-Kind Donations
Coastal Kids is always looking for materials, equipment and supplies for the classroom and office. Contact us at 207-563-5335 if you’d like to make an in-kind donation.  In-kind donations are tax deductible.

Recycle  Ink Cartridges

Drop your used ink cartridges off at CKP! We get a $2 mechandise credit at Staples for every cartridge. Your donations enable us to purchase needed office supplies and teaching materials. If you or your business would like to arrange a regular pick-up of ink cartridges,  just let us know!

Returnable Bottles
  CKP has an account at Standpipe Redemption in Newcastle. Just drop off your returnables and indicate the proceeds should go towards CKP. Each contribution, no matter how small makes a difference. Last year proceeds from returnables was $171. This amount is the equivalent of approximately six cases of copy paper!

 

Young’uns

CKP has an account  at Young’uns consignment shop on Main Street, Business Route 1, in Damariscotta.  When you bring in your gently worn children’s clothing items and toys,  just ask them to put the proceeds on the CKP school account.
